Dak Prescott threw two interceptions before three mostly empty touchdown passes in another playoff flop for him and the No. These Packers, with the four-time MVP's successor, left little doubt with a 48-16 fourth-quarter lead before two late Dallas TDs. Facing the NFL's fifth-best defense, Green Bay matched its Super Bowl-winning team from 2010 for the most points in a playoff game. Jones rushed for 118 yards, putting him over the century mark in all four career games against the Cowboys with nine touchdowns. Prescott finished 41 of 60 for 403 yards, with all three of his touchdowns to tight end Jake Ferguson.

DENVER (AP) — Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson said he's flying to New York to meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday to get more clarity about his latest suspension and the way the league enforces its player safety rules. He's missed three games so far and will miss three more, costing him a total of $837,000 in lost wages. Previously, he's said he knows he's drawing extra scrutiny from the league for his spate of fouls. “So, hopefully something comes from this meeting — I don't think much will, because I don't even think they know," Jackson added. His hit of Dobbs upon his return on Nov. 19 didn't draw a flag but it did draw the league's ire again and resulted in his second suspension.

DENVER (AP) — The NFL suspended Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson four games without pay on Monday for repeated violations of the league's playing rules intended to protect players. On the game's third snap, Jackson led with the crown of his helmet on a third-and-1 run by Dobbs, jarring the ball loose. No flag was thrown and nickel cornerback Ja'Quan McMillian jumped on the loose ball at the Vikings 30-yard line. “It seemed like a pretty direct helmet-to-helmet type hit,” Vikings coach Kevin O’Connnell said after the Vikings' 21-20 loss. We’ll have to take a look at it.”Political Cartoons View All 1260 ImagesSo, too, did the NFL, which has already fined Jackson $89,670 for four illegal hits before suspending him two games, costing Jackson $279,000.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The Green Bay Packers are like a finicky old car that needs several hits to the ignition before finally making some progress. That helps explain why the Packers (2-4) carry a three-game skid into Sunday's home matchup with the Minnesota Vikings (3-4). But it’s tougher to pin down why the Packers struggle so much at the start of games. “I think guys kind of take a breath and, as the game goes on, they just feel more comfortable and start executing better,” Stenavich said. Love believes once the Packers get that “monkey off your back” by making a big play early, the first-half points might start coming in bunches.

They can help people with diabetes control their blood sugar and lead to substantial weight loss for people with or without diabetes. Liraglutide was FDA approved as a weight loss medicine since 2014. What’s been less clear is whether patients taking these drugs for weight loss may have the same serious side effects. CNN reached out to Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of both injectable weight loss drugs examined in this study, for comment. Sodhi said they started the man on a medication that treats stomach paralysis, “and he got a lot better,” Sodhi said.

DOUBLE THE PLEASURE An arched window with mirrors for panes adds romance and depth to a courtyard garden in Surrey, England, designed by Nic Howard. Photo: GAP Photos/Leigh ClappNO ONE hesitates to deploy mirrors inside a house—lengthening a cramped entryway or bouncing light around a dim dining room. Why not in the garden, then, where a mirror could multiply lush hydrangeas, reflect cloud-dotted skies and make sunshine dance? Garden designer Toby Musgrave, the Copenhagen-based author of “The Garden: Elements & Styles” (Phaidon Press) considers looking glasses a fantastic way to play with your patch of green: “I like the idea of optical illusions—a bit of fun, drama and theater.” Besides, an open-air mirror yields the same benefits as one indoors. A garden becomes more cozy and warm, said Karen Rogers, a London landscape designer, and the reflection “makes it actually look bigger.”

The deputy, Scot Peterson, served as the school resource officer at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School at the time of the shootings in 2018. For not confronting the gunman, he is facing 10 charges, including seven counts of child neglect — a rare prosecution of a law enforcement officer involved in the response to a mass shooting. In opening statements, the prosecution repeatedly noted that after arriving at the scene on the afternoon of Feb. 14, Mr. Peterson stayed in a stairway of an adjacent school building while the shootings took place in Building 1200. “The defendant will never leave that alcove while the shooter is in that building,” said Steven Klinger, an assistant state attorney in Broward County. “In fact, he doesn’t leave it for 30 or 40 minutes when everything is finished.”

Opening statements are expected to begin Wednesday in the trial of the school resource officer on duty at the time of the attack, Scot Peterson, who faces 10 charges, including seven counts of child neglect, for not confronting the gunman. A conviction of a member of law enforcement for inaction during a mass shooting could have sweeping repercussions for policing in Florida and beyond, legal experts say. Mr. Peterson faces a decades-long prison sentence on the accusation that he failed in his role as a caregiver for the students. Mr. Peterson was the first officer on the scene, and by his own account he did not rush into Building 1200 at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, where the gunman killed 17 people and wounded 17 others. He instead took cover in the stairway of an adjacent building, and has said he was unsure where the shots were coming from and feared that a sniper was firing from outside.

Some 78.9% of proxy votes on behalf of Oz Minerals' investors were in favour of the takeover offer of A$26.50 cash from BHP and a A$1.75 special dividend paid to Oz Minerals investors, at a shareholder meeting in Adelaide on Thursday. It will bring in Oz Minerals' Carapateena copper mine, close to BHP's own Olympic Dam copper mine and smelting operations in South Australia. Strategically it will also boost BHP's nickel supply through Oz Minerals' West Musgrave nickel project in Western Australia, where BHP is already producing nickel sulphate at its Nickel West operations. If the deal is approved as expected, Oz Minerals shares will be suspended on April 18. Oz Minerals' board had unanimously supported the bid.
GOP lawmakers in Florida have introduced a six-week abortion ban. But the ramifications of a six-week ban in Florida would go beyond politics. As the session kicked off in Tallahassee on Tuesday, the path to a six-week abortion ban in Florida appeared more clear than it did a few months ago. In a press conference with reporters, she acknowledged the math was difficult but vowed the party would fight, arguing that a six-week ban was broadly unpopular among Floridians. Senate Minority Leader Lauren Book, a Democrat of Plantation, Florida, accused Republicans of going "scorched earth" with their abortion ban bill.

Victoria’s state government called time on Melbourne’s Australia Day parade after two years of Covid cancellations, and Kmart, a normal go-to for party supplies, announced it wouldn’t be stocking traditional Australia Day merchandise – clothing, plates, napkins and other memorabilia draped in the Australian flag. Cooper is among a growing band of Indigenous allies who now refer to Australia Day as Invasion Day or Survival Day, after learning more about the nation’s history from those who suffered. Nov 16 (Reuters) - Shares of Australia's OZ Minerals Ltd (OZL.AX) were placed on a trading halt early on Wednesday, pending an announcement regarding a potential change of control transaction, the gold and copper miner said. OZ has rebuffed the world's largest listed miner BHP Group (BHP.AX) on its A$8.34 billion ($5.64 billion) buyout offer calling it "opportunistic". OZ Minerals' successful study outcome for its West Musgrave copper-nickel project in Western Australia increased the chances that BHP would hike it's offer, analysts at Jefferies said in September.
